Genral shopping tips [=

Here are some general shopping tips that can help you save some cash next time you venture out to find food.

- Use coupons and plan your meals around them - however don't just buy food because its on sale, what does the price matter if you're not going to eat it
- Buy according to price per gram/kilo - however its important to remember that some items are definitely not cheaper in bulk
- Frequent cheaper stores, try to avoid stores that are situated in the higher class areas.
- Go to farmers markets for in season vegies etc and dont be afraid to haggle especially close to closing time - getting to know some of the locals who run these stalls can also help
- Buy oil/soysauce/cooking wine/ rice etc at asisan markets in bulk - its a lot cheaper
- Say no to the deli counter, salad bar or precooked meals (frozen pizzas, burgers etc) - salad bar is acceptable for SMALL amounts of filler materials
- Buy meat in bulk and on sale, divide it and put it in the freezer
- DRINK WATER, not milk juice or any of that crap - its all expensive and the nutritional value can often be found elsewhere for a lot cheaper, especially milk
- Alfalfa, lentils etc cheap and easy nutritional vegies; throw some lentils in your rice for that extra healthy kick
- Invest some time into growing your own vegies, it will often work out a lot cheaper and you'll have the satisfaction in making something yourself. Window herb gardens are also a good idea.

Google is another good source when it comes to trying to save money when shopping - just search something like "low cost recipes at home-cooking from scratch"

Hope this helped! :)

Study hack

For my first real post on my new blog i thought i might start with something that i myself should do more often.

Some school/education hacks

Easy sources for your assignment
When you have to write one of those long boring research papers - involving much of your time looking through old books in the library, fruitlessly searching the net etc etc do yourself a favor and find one strong source that directly pertains to what you're doing and than use the sources cited as your bibliography/way to locate new sources - sources of Wikipedia work pretty well also

Need extra time?
Spent too long playing games rather than doing your work? well there is a way that could potentially buy you that bit of extra time to actually finish. When handing in your work grab a JPG, Mps or some other media file and rename it MYASSIGNEMT.doc and send it away. The "assignment" will look "corrupt" and providing your teacher/lectura isn't a complete dick - it should buy you a day or two.

Lost USB?
it sometimes helps to put an "identification" or something of the likes on your flash drive; include all the contact information the person who finds it needs to get it back to you. However most of the time they will just keep it ;l

Another good tip
Another good tip is to keep yourself motivated. A good way of doing this is by telling your friends that you're going to do it by a certain time date whatever; the fear of looking like an ass if you don't should help keep you on track. oh and you wanna succeed in life blah blah blah

Sleep
Before you walk into that final exam get a good nights rest - all the cramming in the world isn't going to help you if you have no idea what you're doing the night before, might as well catch up on some sleep? oh and having a fully rested brain will help with your long term memory, cognitive skills etc etc

The ramblings of Se7en
